Machine Attendant

The purpose of the Machine Attendant is to monitor injection molding machines which includes monitoring gauges, operation of controls, visual inspections, make adjustments, call in assistance, and maintain cleanliness of equipment. • The Machine Attendant will work on shifts as required; be able to work with others in a team environment. • Train on and learn all non-leadership production jobs as required or requested. • Use basic math and computer skills as necessary. • Communicate clearly and effectively (includes reading and writing) in English. • Operate in a safe manner wearing the required safety equipment. • Obtain necessary training and work as to comply OSHA standards. • Continuously work towards improving all of the processes associated with the job. • Fill-in for other machine attendants as needed • Inspect product visually for defect, measure and document to quality specifications to ensure compliance, record results, place scrap onto scrap conveyor or into bin, documentation/record keeping • Transfer materials manually or using mobile equipment. Raw materials measurement and placement: maintain levels of raw materials, place materials into appropriate bins, set scales. • General Cleaning: Sweep, general pick-up around work area, clean up jammed tile; remove paper from bad tile to prepare for recycling, blow down equipment, trash removal, painting equipment • Participate in safety training and receive instruction through hands-on demonstration and/or classroom lecture, as required • Maintain a clean work area Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Tool Maker

The basic function of Tool Makers is to build or repair all types, sizes and shapes of plastic injection molds and to assemble and test complex tools and molds in production. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal duties and responsibilities of the Tool Maker consist of, but are not limited to, the following: • Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions, sketches, or from the actual part to be copied or fitted. • Plans the setup and operation of various machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, and machine tool feeds and speeds. • Heat treats and welds parts as required. • Uses precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspections before, during, and after machining. • CNC machining • Uses hand tools of the trade for modifications as required. • Fits and assembles mold parts, tools, and dies. Sets up, runs off, and tests molds to produce a product meeting specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and making any necessary modifications. • May assist machinists and millwrights in injection molding press overhaul. • May assist product designers by providing information about potential manufacturing difficulties with new product designs. • Various other duties as assigned EDUCATION: • Required: High School Diploma SKILLS: Completion of formal apprenticeship program, technical school training program, or completion of in-company five-year training program. • Familiarity with "hot runner" mold systems. • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimum supervision. • Ability to communicate with designers concerning technical ramifications of designs. • Willingness to follow safety rules when operating machine tools and assembling heavy mold parts.

Secondary Operator

Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will set up, adjust, and maintain assigned plastic injection molding machines and equipment with responsibility for production quality, efficiency and safety. Quality Inspector

Support the production department through First piece, in-process and final inspections, early non-conformance detection and reporting of defective products. Duties & Responsibilities: Will be performing injection molding dimensional inspection. Verifies first piece and end of run samples. Evaluate parts, record results. Identify dimensional and visual defects using Quality Standard Check. Will complete and maintain records. Approve and reject parts based on test results and standards Responsibilities • Interpret quality plans and inspect as directed. • Perform inspections for start-up approval, in-process parts and final audits. • Accurately document and record inspection results. • Perform dimensional and functional testing using various equipment • Perform incoming inspections on raw materials. • Identify non-conformances and generate QC Hold/NCR/Scrap reports. • Communicate with Quality Manager and Shift Supervisor when non-conforming processes and/or product are identified. Requirements • 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a plastics manufacturing environment • High school diploma or GED • Ability to communicate effectively in English • Understanding of plastic product drawings and tolerances i • Experience with use of measuring instruments: caliper, micrometer, drop gauges, and optical comparator. • Basic computer skills and use of Microsoft Word and Excel • Experience with IQMS system is a plus Physical Demands : • Ability to spend up to 80% or more of the work day walking or standing • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Process Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: The Process Technician will set up plastic injection molding presses to produce plastic components to attain optimum performance in the utilization of the equipment and maintaining agreed-upon quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Load processes, set up end-of-arm robots, start press and submit first piece for approval of quality. • Work with supervisor to maintain sound employee relations within the department. • Diagnose equipment problems and recommend corrective action. • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, materials, maintenance and quality in fulfilling manufacturing objective. • Other duties may be assigned. Material Handler

To ensure all machines are supplied with the appropriate materials to maintain continuous production (raw material, packaging, skids, etc). Also, to ensure that raw materials, supplies, and finished goods are moved to their designated places in the facility. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal duties and responsibilities of the Materials Handler consist of, but are not limited to, the following: • Blend raw materials with color concentrates using the proper percentage calculation. • Supply raw material and packaging to machines to ensure continuous production.. • Check IQMS for inventory of materials and packaging. • Ensure grinders are properly cleaned, set up, and unloaded to prevent mixing of unlike materials (contamination). • Fill hoppers/loaders with appropriate material, clean any spills, and notify • Ensure that product is properly labeled before it is moved to the finished goods staging area. • Initiate action to prevent boxes/skids/gaylords from being labeled incorrectly. • Ensure that optimum amount of regrind is being utilized. • Communicate any machine or auxiliary equipment malfunctions to the Process Technician. • Various other duties as assigned. Assists line supervisor and may act as line supervisor when supervisor is unavailable.
